DGSM/MDP Main Boardroom, Entebbe, 21 August 2025: The Geothermal Resources Department convened a departmental meeting chaired by the Ag. Commissioner, Mr. Vincent Kato. The session focused on outlining key activities to be implemented within the quarter to advance Uganda’s geothermal energy agenda.
In addition to planning discussions, participants received an insightful presentation on amagmatic geothermal systems, delivered by Mr. Kato, which highlighted emerging opportunities for exploration and development. The meeting underscored the Department’s commitment to diversifying Uganda’s energy mix through the sustainable use of geothermal resources.
