The Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, Hon. Canon Ruth Nankabirwa Ssentamu, participated in the 27th Africa Energy Forum (AEF) in Cape Town, South Africa, held under the theme ‘Africa United,’ this year’s forum focuses on connecting stakeholders, driving investment, and promoting sustainable energy solutions for Africa’s future.
The Minister also took part in a closed-door session were public and private sector leaders discussed accelerating the pace of energy projects. The Minister engaged in panels discussing key topics such as ‘Putting in Place Robust Renewable Energy Ecosystems to Meet Mining Needs’ and ‘Global Demand for Critical Minerals: Africa’s Big Opportunity.’ She also had meetings with strategic partners to further Uganda’s energy and mineral development initiatives.
