KASNEB Building Nairobi, Kenya, 19 August 2025: Hon. Dr. Canon Ruth Nankabirwa led a delagation to meet Kenya’s Ministry of Petroleum to finalize collaboration on the Eldoret–Kampala refined petroleum products pipeline. The Minister was accompanied by Eng. Irene Bateebe, PS; Ms. Proscovia Nabbanja, CEO UNOC; and Eng. Turyakira George, Assistant Commissioner T&S. Kenya was represented in the meeting by the Minister for Petroleum, the Cabinet Secretary, and the CEO of Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC), alongside other dignitaries.
The meeting’s primary objective was to formalize the partnership and establish immediate steps of action, including route verification on both sides and the creation of a robust legal framework for implementation. This initiative builds on the longstanding Eldoret–Kampala–Kigali pipeline project within the Northern Corridor Integration Projects.
