Amber House, 6 August 2025: The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD) held a bilateral meeting with a team from the Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI) to explore potential areas of collaboration in the extractives sector.
The discussions focused on safeguards for the oil, gas, and mining industries, Just Transition pathways, and addressing climate change impacts. Both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening governance frameworks, promoting sustainability, and aligning sector practices with national and international climate commitments.
