Hoima, 9 September 2025: The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD), with district governments, licensees, and PAU, has launched a community- level review of Livelihood Restoration Programs (LRPs) in the Tilenga and Kingfisher areas. The exercise will assess socio-economic impacts of past support, including agricultural inputs, food rations, vocational training, startup kits, and financial literacy for Project-Affected Persons (PAPs).
Targeting PAP households, local leaders, and civil society, the review will appraise outcomes, capture community perceptions, and generate evidence- based recommendations.
Using focus groups and surveys, MEMD seeks to strengthen value-chain linkages, sustainability, and alignment with community needs.
