Petroleum House, Entebbe, 4 August 2025: The Petroleum Exploration, Development and Production Department (PEDPD) recently held a focused technical interpretation session, chaired by Mr. Patrick Lulika (Geophysicist/Seismic). The meeting brought together experts in geology, geophysics, petroleum engineering, and economics to analyze newly acquired gravity, magnetic, geological, and geochemical data.
Discussions centered on identifying structural trends, traps, and anomalies across Uganda’s frontier basins, with the goal of prioritizing areas with high exploration potential beyond the Tilenga and Kingfisher Projects. The outcomes will guide basin ranking and support upcoming basin reviews, reinforcing Uganda’s efforts to unlock its next major oil discoveries.
