Kampala, 11 September 2025: The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD) held a two-part handover ceremony at Amber House and Nican Resort to mark the transition in its Internal Audit leadership.
Ms. Alice Nangoku, outgoing Assistant Commissioner (AC) Internal Audit, officially handed over to her successor, Mr. Sittankya Leonard Lubega, after completing her three-year tour of duty under the Public Service rotation policy.
The event was presided over by Ag. Permanent Secretary and Under Secretary Finance & Administration, Ms. Grace Tusiime, and attended by MEMD Heads of Divisions and staff.
Ms. Nangoku, now posted as AC Health Service Officer – Internal Audit at the Ministry of Health, expressed gratitude to leadership, colleagues, and support staff for their teamwork.
She was commended for professionalism, punctuality, and constructive engagement that strengthened audit processes. Mr. Lubega pledged to build on this legacy, ensuring accountability and institutional growth.
