Malaba Blending Facility, 5 August 2025: Construction of the Malaba Blending Facility, operated by Bukona Agro Processors Ltd., is steadily advancing, with major milestones achieved as of 5 August 2025.
- Land preparation: Clearing is 80% complete and the premises are being fenced.
- Storage tanks: Foundations for all 12 tanks (total capacity 800,000 litres) are complete. Eight tanks have been installed, while the rest are under fabrication and expected to be mounted by 15 August. This capacity will support 15 days of E5 blending.
- Blending structure: The main facility is complete, designed to blend six vehicles simultaneously and handle up to 50 tankers per day.
- Office building: Construction is underway and scheduled for completion by the end of August.
- Automation: Systems ordered from India, with partial delivery expected via air freight by 15 August.
