Gulu City, 4 September 2025: The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD) participated in the Annual Ugandan Ambassadors’ Conference at Gulu University under the theme “Strengthening the Foreign Service’s Contribution to National Development.”
Hon. Dr. Monica Musenero, Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation, urged missions abroad to support Uganda’s STI Market Development Strategy, promoting Ugandan brands internationally.
Representing MEMD, Mr. Emmanuel Ajutu, A/C–Policy Analysis, thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for backing energy, petroleum, and mineral projects, stressing the importance of foreign investors in MEMD’s capital-intensive programs.
Key outcomes included MEMD’s pledge to collaborate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in advancing NDP-IV targets, renewed focus on attracting foreign investment, and recognition of the need for clearer legal frameworks in emerging sectors.
