The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD) bid farewell to Mr. Alex Arikiriza following his transfer to the Ministry of Works and Transport and welcomed Ms. Clare Ajego, who joins the Ministry as Assistant Secretary from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During a handover ceremony held at the Ministry, Mr. Arikiriza formally handed over office to Ms. Ajego, marking the transition of responsibilities.
MEMD management and staff expressed appreciation for Mr. Arikiriza’s dedicated service and contribution to the Ministry during his tenure.
In his farewell remarks, he thanked the Political Leadership, the Permanent Secretary, the Under Secretary, the Principal Assistant Secretary, Senior Assistant Secretaries and all staff for their guidance, support and cooperation.
“The experience and exposure gained while serving at the Ministry have greatly contributed to my professional growth and development.
I remain grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside such dedicated and committed colleagues,” he said.
The Ministry wishes Mr. Arikiriza success in his new assignment and warmly welcomes Ms. Ajego Clare to the MEMD family as she takes on her new responsibilities in support of the Ministry’s mandate
